我们今天讲小作文的格式问题。大家困惑比较多的是在齐头式和缩进式之间如何选择，下面就针对各类题型给大家做一个全方位的对比。
齐头式 VS 缩进式
说明
所谓齐头式，就是左对齐书写，段与段之间空一行（目前白宫网站的新闻就是齐头式）。
缩进式是一种传统格式，段与段之间不空行，段首空1.25-2.5 cm（也有一种说法是空一个tab键的距离）。
我们一般的操作方法是空4-6个字母，但字母数不足为准，因为像i、l这样的修长字母和o、g这样的圆润字母占据的空间是不一样的，比如Till和Food都是四个字母，长度却不相同。所以字母数只是一个参考，关键是要前后一致，也就是每段缩进的距离是一样的。
信件类格式对比
英一/二答题卡是A3大小，一共两张纸；第二张答题卡左边写小作文，右边写大作文。
为了方便对照，我们在答题纸左边用齐头式书写15年的英一真题范文；右边则采用缩进式书写同样的内容
一、空行问题：
在齐头式中，称呼与正文之间也需要空行；结尾敬辞和签名之间没有硬性的空行规定，但一般的做法是空出一行，以便留出手写签名的空间。
在右边的缩进式中，敬辞和正文之间一般需要空一行，使信件内容清晰可读。
就个人喜好而言，我更喜欢齐头式的布局，卷面清新、凸显字数，而且不需要斟酌缩进距离。
二、书名和电影名的格式：
在打印或电子出版物中，书名和电影名通常用斜体表示；而手写文章中不方便使用斜体，我们只需要使用双引号来表示即可。
三、关于转行和连字符：
像文中struggles和allowing这样的地方，我们在手写的时候可以转到下一行来写，或者写得紧凑一些，避免延伸到横格线之外；用连字符转行的方法属于下策，因为断开的单词可读性差一些，而且断得不好，还会降低印象分。

左边是用齐头式书写的15年英二真题范文；右边是缩进式同款
空行问题：标题和日期（日期可写可不写）、日期和正文，以及正文和落款之间都要空行；而在缩进式中，只有正文和落款之间需要空一行，并且日期和落款都要靠右书写。
这篇范文一共118字，在齐头式中，由于需要空行地方比较多，所以写满了答题纸。如果换成英二答题纸，空间就更加局促了，因为英二是23条横格线，比英一的24条线还要少一行的书写空间。所以在遇到通知题目时，如果大家预估的字数比较多，就要慎用齐头式了。
纪要类格式对比
纪要只有齐头式的写法，并且每个意群之间都需要空行。
这是一篇125字的纪要，已经超出了答题纸的边界。作为解决方法，我们可以把字写小一点，或者把Time和Approved by这两个部分的内容去掉（页面右边是调整后的范文）。
另外，纪要的罗马标号可以增加清晰度，但并非硬性要求。
总结一下：
在写信件时，推荐齐头式，简洁明快，膨胀字数。
写通知时，如果预估字数较少，建议齐头式，反之缩进式。
纪要只能是齐头式，并且要预先规划布局，避免出现写出边界的情况。
关于齐头式和缩进式的选择，还要结合自身的实际情况。大家可以在答题纸上实地书写一番，基于自己的字体，比较哪种格式更加美观，再结合自身的字数产出能力做出选择。
